Home energy assessments
$600
For these upgrades, an initial home energy assessment is required before beginning any work. A registered energy advisor will assess your home and uncover energy-saving opportunities. To offset the cost of the initial and follow-up home energy assessments, you will receive a $600 rebate after successful completion of the program. Where an owner has tenants, the owner must apply.
How to get your rebates

1. Schedule an assessment
Before beginning any work, fill out the form below to get a list of Service Organizations in your area. Contact a Service Organization and complete an initial home energy assessment.

2. Get a custom report
See which upgrades are recommended for your home and choose at least two to complete.

3. Complete 2+ upgrades
Have your preferred contractor complete the work.

4. Schedule a follow-up assessment
After upgrades are installed, complete a final assessment with the same registered energy advisor.

5. Receive your rebates
Your rebates will be sent after your energy advisor submits all required documents.


Is your home eligible?

To qualify for the Home Renovation Savings program, you must own your home.

Eligible housing types include single detached or semi-detached homes, row/townhomes and mobile homes on a permanent foundation.

Be an Enbridge Gas customer with an active account and primarily heat your home with a natural gas furnace or boiler OR be connected to the Ontario electricity grid and heat your home with electricity, propane, oil or wood.‡

Cornwall Electric customers who heat their homes with electricity, propane, oil, or wood are connected to the Hydro-Québec electricity grid and are not eligible to participate unless they are converting to or from Enbridge natural gas for home heating.
